Two very positive reviews have been written, in Dutch, about the new CD with works by Joep Franssens. Gerard Scheltens wrote in Klassieke Zaken: ‘Ralph van Raat, who premiered [the Concerto] in 2015, once again presents this work brilliantly in close cooperation with PHION’. In De Groene Amsterdammer, Bas van Putten wrote ‘the great pianist Ralph van Raat […] gave Joep Franssens’ music a firm place in the Dutch musical landscape. […] The soloist and the orchestra under conductor Otto Tausk move side-by-side into mind-boggling consonant and serene territories.’
