Item popular Dutch TV news show ‘Nieuwsuur’
For the occasion of the extensive exhibition of works by Vassily Kandinsky in Amsterdam’s H’ART museum (former Hermitage Museum), Ralph was interviewed behind the piano for Dutch popular TV news show Nieuwsuur (NPO2). In this item, he talks about the relation between Kandinsky and composer Arnold Schoenberg, one of Ralph’s all-time favorite composers from his early teens, and he plays some excerpts of works from Schoenberg’s different stylistic periods.
